DJED

Chapter 1 - Djed is a natural organic Superfood

Bee Pollen, Kakadu Plum, Lilli Pilli, Acacia Seeds, Wheatgrass Sprouts, Plum, Lime, Peppermint, Royal Jelly and Propolis.
Each composition has been selected and evolved into difficult, arid and extreme biotopes, which give them high quality active ingredients (resistance of the plant and its compounds). The adaptogenic quality of each of these plants helps to strengthen the organic functions of convalescent and weakened people. Djed gives energy, maintains energy during sports activities, helps fight stress, depression and anxiety; supports the immune system.

Djed is an excellent dietary supplement containing a large amount of naturally sourced Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) that is highly assimilable for the function of mitochondria.

The plants that make up Djed have growing conditions in difficult natural environments, which develop a significant amount of ATP in the function of their eukaryotes to withstand extreme weather. Without ATP, these plants would not be able to survive and adapt.

Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is a molecule that is normally synthesized in cells. It is the energy source of the cell that is the final product obtained during photophosphorylation (adding a phosphate group to a molecule using the energy of light). All living things need ATP. This energy source is needed to produce bioelectricity, the vital energy for intra/extra cellular osmosis. It is fundamental for deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and Ribonucleic acid (RNA) and messenger RNA (telomeres).

ATP is used by many cellular components as an energy source. Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) provides the energy needed for chemical reactions to metabolism, locomotion, cell division, or the elimination of free radicals through cell membranes.

The manufacture of Djed is carried out by a process of slow freeze-drying (lyophilization), at low temperature, in order to preserve the properties, the active principles, so that they are assimilated.

Chapter 2- Properties of the five first superfood Djed components (full of ATP)

Bee Pollen, Kakadu Plum, Lilli Pilli, Acacia Seeds, Wheatgrass Sprouts:

Bee Pollen: The pollen contained in the Djed is obtained by bees operating in a difficult climate, on the edge between desert and steppes.
Pollen undergoes a transformation by bees adding their saliva. Through this process, they add nutrients and enzymes: vitamins, trace elements, antioxidants, up to 27 amino acids, lactoferments, polyphenols, proteins, glucose and fiber. This is one of the best superfoods.

  • Powerful conditioner: asthenic person (fatigue) or convalescent.
  • Fighting anxiety, stress or low morale.
  • Its phytonutrients have protective properties, stimulate the immune system's defenses and help slow aging.
  • Feeds the microbiota and regulates intestinal functions.
  • Slight antibiotic effect, prevention of winter infections (flu, cold).
  • Improved fertility in women (higher quality ovulation).
  • Better stamina in athletes.

Kakadu Plum: rich in antioxidants vitamin C (one of the best source of vitamin C, superior to blueberries and 50 times more concentrated than orange). Antioxidant properties up to 7 times higher than curcumin.

Reminder: An antioxidant is a molecule that slows down or prevents the oxidation of other chemicals when they come into contact.

Oxidation is part of an oxydorination reaction: it can produce toxic free radicals at the intra-cellular and mitochondrial level. Good biological quality antioxidants help to combat these free radicals and their effects in the irreversible mechanism of apoptosis and telomerase function.

  • Antioxidant properties.
  • Protects against immune system deficiencies, in case of stress, smoking, alcohol consumption.
  • Reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease.
  • Alzheimer's disease: protecting brain neurons from toxic and free radical agents, free radicals end up killing brain cells.
  • Wrinkle reduction: Vitamin C helps produce the proline responsible for collagen production.

Wattle Seed: contains many minerals and beneficial nutrients, concentrated in protein and unsaturated fats.

  • Rich in folic acid (vitamin B9), folate is a very important vitamin that plays a vital role in DNA biosynthesis and also in the methylation cycle. It is essential for the synthesis and repair of human DNA and for the segregation of chromosomes.
  • Antioxidant properties that help the body fight free radicals and neutralize the effects of oxidative stress.
  • Moisturizing and regenerating the skin.
  • Rich in magnesium present in more than 300 enzymes in the human body responsible for important functions: formation of bones and teeth, stabilization of glucose levels in the blood, the creation of energy molecules or ATP, relaxation of blood vessels and maintenance of normal stools.
  • Rich in calcium essential in maintaining the health of bones and teeth, in the contraction of muscles and impulses of the nervous system, the functioning of certain organs such as the heart and kidneys.
  • Rich in potassium essential for heart function, kidneys, blood pressure, digestive problems, arthritis.
  • Rich in iron playing an important role in the formation of hemoglobin, muscle and brain functions, body temperature regulation, oxygen transport, neurotransmitter synthesis, immune system, energy metabolism, fatigue, anemia and many chronic diseases.
  • Contains zinc that stimulates the immune system, maintains hormonal balance, helps heal wounds and prevents oxidative stress, a problem of osteoporosis.

Wheat Grass Sprouts: contains a remarkable content of chlorophyll up to 70% which is rich in vegetable magnesium. Shoots of wheatgrass contain vitamins A, B, B1, B5, E and K, minerals, proteins, fibers and trace elements (iron, calcium, phosphorus, potassium).

  • Chlorophyll, because of its molecular structure, is very close to human hemoglobin. The difference between the two is at the level of their nucleus, for the first it is composed of magnesium and for the second it is composed of iron. The solar energy stored by chlorophyll is converted into oxygen and transmitted by plants. This makes chlorophyll an oxygenator that stimulates the immune system and vitality by increasing energy levels. Chlorophyll allows better transport of oxygen into cells.
  • Chlorophyll is an oxygen source that stimulates the production of hemoglobin, red blood cells and white blood cells.
  • Anti-anemic action.
  • Chlorophyll is used by plants to fight bacteria and fungi. This feature reduces the production of toxins that will be better evacuated by the body. It therefore promotes the cleansing of the entire digestive tract and the elimination of body and faecal odors.
  • The high antioxidant concentration of chlorophyll would have anti-mutagenic
Increases bone marrow stem cell production.
Chlorophyll cleanses the intestines and colon, protects and supports the intestinal flora, improves the functioning of the digestive organs and detoxifies the body by helping to remove toxins and heavy metals.
  • Its benefits on the digestive system and vitality stimulate the immune system.
  • Chlorophyll plays a key role in deacidifying the body. It normalizes pH and maintains a good acid-base balance. This reduces gastric acidity and reduces inflammation of the colon and intestines. Helps relieve joint, muscle and tendon pain.

Benefits of wheatgrass shoots in general:

  • Promote good blood circulation by purifying and detoxifying the blood.
  • The proper oxygenation of cells and tissues accelerates their regeneration.
  • The high concentration of vitamins, minerals, proteins and amino acids strengthens the body, supports physical activity, promotes muscle growth and recovery.
  • The content of trace elements calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium, iron, etc., strengthens the immune system.
  • Detoxify the body by evacuating heavy metals, toxins.
  • Rich in antioxidants, wheatgrass helps delay cell aging, fight free radicals, prevent cardiovascular disease and ulcers.

Chapter 3 - Properties of three second superfood Djed components

Plum, Lime, Peppermint,

Plum: rich in antioxidant polyphenols, very remineralizing and complete. A super food concentrated in nutrients: iron, magnesium, fibre, potassium, calcium, provitamin A, vitamin E, group B vitamins and antioxidants.

Polyphenols appear to play an important role in both protection against cell degeneration and cardiovascular disease. The protective action against cancer could be explained by a mechanism quite similar to that of prebiotics by their ability to improve the function of the intestinal microbiota, especially for anarchic degenerations of the digestive system (stomach, colon, etc.).

  • Helps digestive functions, facilitates the proper functioning of the intestines. Cellulose and hemicelluloses accelerate the passage of food into the intestines; the pectin content of plums has the property of retaining water and plays a regulatory role on the transit.
  • The presence of sorbitol stimulates the functioning of the gallbladder and helps fight intestinal laziness.
  • Plum contains diphenylisatin, a derivative of indols, which has a slightly laxative effect.
  • Reduces high cholesterol.
  • Cardiovascular risk reduction: prune antioxidant polyphenols, chlorogenic and coffeeic acids, would protect circulating cholesterol from oxidation, limiting the risk of heart attack or stroke, an effect reinforced by potassium content.
  • Plum can also limit bone loss and osteoporosis, especially during menopause.
  • Chlorogenic acid, a polyphenol, may have an anxiolytic action
The strong antioxidant abilities of plums improves memory and learning ability, preventing age-related diseases, including senility, neurodegenerative diseases.

Lime: contains antioxidant flavonoids.
Some plants develop a phenolic metabolism, especially that of flavonoids, it is an important part of the plant strategy to fight biotic and abiotic stresses (exposure to UV or cold, injury, nutritional deficiency, defense of plants against herbivores and pathogens ...).

The production of these flavonoids in a difficult biotope results in superior organoleptic quality.

Some flavonoids are of great interest in the health field: for their antibacterial, antiviral, anti-platelet, anti-allergic, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor, anti-cancer and antioxidant activities.

  • The flavonoids in lime stimulate the digestive system by increasing the amount of digestive fluids and acids in the gastrointestinal system.
  • Promotes liver activity, elimination of toxins.
  • Hesperidine, a flavonoid, supports the cardiovascular system through its anti-cholesterol action.
  • Powerful antioxidant effect that protects cell structure by fighting free radicals and eliminating toxins from the body.
  • Vitamin C in large quantities that helps strengthen the immune system and support the central nervous system.
  • Anti-inflammatory properties.
  • Citric acid helps prevent kidney stones.

Spearmint: rich in antioxidants, tannins, flavonoids (18%) and vitamin C; contains a large amount of minerals: calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium.

  • Pain-killer properties: Menthol has an analgesic action that acts on pain receptors, a vasoconstrictor effect in external use.
  • Vasoconstrictor effect, decreased congestion of respiratory mucous membranes.
  • The phenolic compounds of peppermint facilitate digestion, intestinal transit, relieve digestive spasms and stimulate bile secretions.
  • Relieves tired livers.
  • Diuretic effect, improves the functioning of the urinary tract by facilitating the secretion and excretion of urine.
  • Mint has a strong antioxidant action: combined action of its polyphenols, vitamin C, vitamin E and beta-carotene.
  • Like many aromatic herbs, mint is a concentrate of micronutrients: calcium, iron, manganese, magnesium, vitamins B9, E, C, A, beta-carotene (provitamin A).

Chapter 4- Properties of the ninth superfood Djed component

Royal Jelly

Royal Jelly: it is the secretion product of the cephalic glandular system (hypopharyngeal glands and mandibular glands) of worker bees. Royal jelly is the food of all larvae in the colony during hatching until the third day of their existence and the larvae chosen to become queen until the fifth day and to the queen herself throughout her life.

It contains all the essential amino acids, the most important being aspartic acid and glutamic acid. It also contains enzymes such as glucose oxidase, phosphatase and cholineserase. The most important minerals in royal jelly are: calcium, iron, copper, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, silicon and sodium.

  • Royal jelly is mainly known for its vitamin intake, including the vitamin B complex it contains.
  • Vitamin B1 or thiamin essential for the proper functioning of the nervous system.
  • Vitamin B2 or riboflavin is essential for skin, vision and maintaining a normal metabolism.
  • Vitamin B3 or niacin, very important for maintaining a skin without problems, for the formation of red blood cells and for the proper functioning of the digestive system and nervous system.
  • Vitamin B5 or pantothenic acid, essential for the production of energy in cells and contributing to normal intellectual performance.
  • Vitamin B6 or pyridoxine essential for the body's assimilation of proteins.
  • Vitamin B7, or inositol, maintains a good functioning of the liver.
  • Vitamin B8 or biotin, considered essential for hair, nails and skin.
  • Vitamin B9 or folic acid, which can facilitate the implantation of the embryo. It is also an essential vitamin in the production of genetic material.
  • Vitamin B12 or cobalamine is an essential vitamin for brain function, cell renewal and for people who follow a vegan diet, unable to find this vitamin in animal products.

Royal jelly is a cocktail of life, designed to feed the larvae of the colony and the queen. Royal jelly contains lipids, including 80-85% fatty acids, 4-10% phenols, 3 to 4% steroids, 0.4 to 0.08% phospholipids, acetylcholine, 10-HDA and deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA).

1. Benefits for the immune system: due to its complex composition (vitamins, amino acids, minerals, trace elements, essential fatty acids and lipids). Royal jelly is considered a superfood that acts as a preventive measure to strengthen the immune system. Among the many active substances present, the main elements for strengthening the immune system are:
1.1. Gamma globulin: helps fight viruses and infections.

1.2. Royalisin: helps strengthen the immune system to fight bacteria, heal wounds and fight allergies.

1.3. 10-hydroxy-2-decantic acid (10-2-HDA): the main modulator of the immune system, having a direct effect on lymphoblastoid cells (essential in the body's defense process).

2. Benefits for the nervous system: The nervous system coordinates muscles, monitors organs, receives and processes information received by the senses and initiates actions. In other words, the nervous system is responsible for homeostasis (the balance of the body).

2.1 Acetylcholine in the composition of royal jelly is one of the most important neurotransmitters in the human body. It plays a major role in the physiological processes of memory by transmitting messages from one nerve cell to another. As a major source of acetylcholine, royal jelly provides optimal flexibility for the brain to adapt and respond to new situations without experiencing stress. The absence of stress facilitates memorization.

2.2 An intellectual stimulant: the presence of certain trace elements (phosphorus, magnesium), certain vitamins (vitamins B1, B2, B6), and amino acids (tryptophan) has proven very useful for improving mental state, treating anorexia and depression, increasing intellectual performance and improving memory. Especially as a dietary supplement during exam periods.

2.3 Pure and constantly quantity royal jelly is recommended for cardiovascular problems, helps regulate blood pressure, soothes and calms in the case of hyperactive person (child or adult) or as an adjuvant treatment for neuro-psychiatric diseases (Parkinson, Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis or certain forms of dementia), against anemia.

3. Benefits on the respiratory system:

3.1 Commonly used to treat most respiratory diseases, from mild bronchitis to persistent respiratory problems. Thanks to the antibiotic properties of decanoque acid-10-hydroxy-2-decanoque which helps fight bacterial infections.

3.2 Natural remedy for asthma: paroxysmal dyspnea disorder characterized by an expiratory type and usually followed by mucous sputum, used pure mainly for its calming effect on the bronchial lining, anti-stress and stimulant of the immune system, useful for relieving associated allergies.

4. Benefits on the digestive system: The digestive system is the group of organs that digest and absorb ingested food and drain residues. It includes the digestive tract (the oral cavity, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine and large intestine) and adjacent glands (salivary glands, liver, pancreas). Used as a dietary supplement, pure royal jelly has the ability to regulate the activity of the digestive tract in order to limit irritation and the presence of pathogenic bacteria in the gastric and intestinal lining.

4.1 Healing effect in the case of gastroenteritis. 10-hydroxy-2-decanoic acid, which naturally exists only in royal jelly, can eliminate the most potent bacteria associated with gastroenteritis. This acid has a broader bactericidal action to fight inflammation of the mucous membranes.

4.2 Helps in the future and improve the duodenal ulcer. Royal jelly is the most natural source of vitamin B5, which helps prevent damage to the duodenum and acts as protection. If the ulcer is stress-induced, royal jelly acts mainly as a natural sedative because of its phosphorus content. The glutamic acid it contains will help soothe irritation.

4.3 Natural treatment of hepatitis with apitherapy. In medical facilities where apitherapy is practiced, royal jelly is a standard treatment for any type of liver disorder but in particular hepatitis.

5. Benefits on the osteo-articular system: it is a complex of living and solid structures connected by specific joints and tissues that provide a framework for our body. It includes bones (skull, spine, ribs, sternum, shoulder bones, arms, etc.), cartilage, joints and ligaments. The foundation of the architecture of the human body.

5.1 Relieves arthritis symptoms: A recognized British study, conducted in 1960 by Barton-Wright and W.A. Elliott, Chief Medical Officer at the St. Alfege Rheumatology Clinic in London, analyzed the evolution of a group of arthritis patients treated with pure royal jelly and achieved impressive results. Scientists have discovered that arthritis patients have difficulty retaining pantothenic acid in the body. So, they looked for a solution and decided to make injections of royal jelly, because this natural substance is a real source of pantothenic acid. Daily injections were subsequently replaced with oral treatment for the well-being of patients, and this change was just as effective. This study concludes with the general observation that with a vegetarian diet and daily treatment with pure royal jelly, the symptoms of arthritis can almost completely disappear.

5.2 Relieves joint mobility and reduces pain.

5.3 Results for rheumatoid arthritis: In a study published in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology in 2010, several researchers found that 10-hydroxy-2-decanoic acid (10-2-HDA), an important component found in royal jelly, blocked the pro-inflammatory signaling pathway. The results of the study show that one of the main advantages of pure royal jelly is its ability to stop the signal of the human body mistakenly emitted in the case of autoimmune diseases and responsible for the creation of inflammations. It is a natural and necessary response to healing when the body is injured. In diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases, there is no damage to be repaired, so no excessive inflammation is necessary. During this process, the body takes its own tissues and, over time, destroys its joints. Preventing this immune system reaction is essential and royal jelly plays an important role in maintaining optimal immunity.

5.4 Relieves back pain, sciatica, lombosciatica and hernia: royal jelly acts simultaneously in different directions, oxygenation of the blood, acceleration of healing of the affected muscles or ligaments, relaxation of tense muscles and reduction of stress.

5.5 Osteoporosis prevention: Royal jelly naturally amplifies the body's ability to absorb calcium, store it in bones and solve the problem of wear and tear.

6. Benefits on the reproductive system:

6.1 Helps restore hormonal balance in women and men, it is a good regulator of ovarian hormones and pituitary gland. May be recommended in hypothalamic women and men, because of its ability to normalize the function of the adrenal glands responsible for the production of androgens and the positive effects it brings on the testicles, responsible for testosterone. Royal jelly stimulates ovulation, fertilization and sexual performance of women and men.

6.2 Royal jelly is completely natural and does not contain artificial hormones. It helps to overcome fertility problems by stimulating the secretion of the essential hormones involved in reproduction and ensuring the proper functioning of the body.

6.3 Relieves menstrual or menopausal disorders. It can be recommended during breastfeeding and during pregnancy, it stimulates milk production.

7. Benefits on the skin system:

7.1 Contains many nutrients to facilitate the regeneration process of skin, hair and nails: flavonoids, nucleic acids, decanoic acids, enzymes and hormones, as well as vitamins and minerals such as vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, acetylcholine and zinc. The acids in royal jelly contribute to collagen production. Due to the presence of amino acids in its composition, royal jelly prevents and fights hair loss, as well as thanks to its calming, relaxing effect.

7.2 Remedy against psoriasis, eczema, acne and herpes: healing and stimulating effect of the immune system.

Chapter 5 - Properties of the last superfood Djed component

Propolis: it is a resinous substance made by bees from their secretions and propolis harvested from buds. This plant propolis is a real barrier for the plant against pathogens that can infect buds. The bees collect it to bring it back to the hive and use it to protect the colony from microbial diseases.

Propolis has anti-infective and immunostimulant properties, particularly effective in winter, in support of the ENT (Ear Nose Throat) and pulmonary sphere but also against skin conditions.

Propolis is composed of about 300 compounds including:
resins and balms: 50-55%
wax: 30-40%
essential oils: 5-10%
pollen: 5%
mineral and organic materials: 5%
Its active ingredients include:
organic acids: benzoic acid, gallic acid
phenolic acids: cyonic acid, cinnamic acid, febolic acid, isoferolic acid, p-coumarinic, artepilline C
aromatic adehydes: vanillin, isovanillin
flavonoids: chrysine, pinocembrine, galangine, quercetin, acacertin, pectolinarigein, tectochrysin, izalpinine, kaempferin, rhamnocitrine, pinotrobine, sarkyrane, pinobanksin
Trace elements
vitamins: provitamin A, vitamin B3 (or PP) and other B vitamins

Depending on the plants used by the bees but also the geographical origin, the composition will be somewhat variable. Propolis from temperate zones will be richer in polyphenolic compounds, i.e., flavonoids, phenolic acids and their esters sesquiterpenes. Propolis from intertropical areas will be richer in prenyled derivatives (artepilline C), coumaric acids and flavonoids.

Chapter 6 - Summarize of Properties of superfood Djed

Main properties:
Immunostimulant: The phenethylester of cyonic acid promotes the stimulation of the immune system by increasing the production of antibodies and lymphocytes.
Antimicrobial: Flavonoids, galangine, pinocembrine, benzoic, conic acid and their esters give propolis antibacterial and antifungal properties (positive and acid-resistant gram bacillus and gram-positive coccis are the most sensitive). It is thus effective in combating pharyngitis, pneumonia, bronchitis, colds and asthma. Active antibiotic on multidr disgusting staph, streptococcus, Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme disease), etc. Propionibacterium acnes. Active antifungal on Candida albicans and Aspergillus trichophyton. Propolis helps fight wart and fungus infections.
Antiviral: Flavonoids are used to fight viruses because they inhibit the enzyme that allows viruses to release pathogenic viral material into the body. Cyonic acid and its derivatives are effective against type 1 and 2 herpes and Varicella-Zona viruses, hepatitis, influenza, gastroenteritis, respiratory infections and wart-causing viruses.
Antiseptic, disinfectant: Flavonoids and benzoic acid give it properties that promote the body's defenses.
Antispasmodic: quercetin and kaempferid have a powerful antispasmodic action, superior to papaverin.
Anesthetic: Propolis is a powerful anesthetic, superior to codeine. Coffee acid and pinocembrine give it this property.
Regenerating, healing: Ferrucic acid has the ability to stimulate the regeneration and growth of skin cells for better healing. Propolis helps the regeneration of cells and delays their aging by activating collagen and elastin synthesis.
Detoxifying, hepatoprotective: it protects the liver from chemotherapy, alcohol and medication. In addition, artepilline C protects against the genotoxicity of methylmethane-sulfonate.
Anticancer: According to in vitro and animal trials, Propolis may be an interesting adjuvant to current treatments for certain forms of cancer. Propolis has anti-cancer properties that slow the growth of cancer cells. In addition, it would better support chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments.
