This was true adventure, we were on our own, no Sherpa support on the climb and no communications. If something went wrong rescue was out of the question as there was no way to get help. We were 100% committed and were on our own, which is the way climbing should be.

Craig Calonica tells us about the first Hang glider flight off Mt. Everest. It was an historic event that took place on the Tibetan side of Everest on it’s north face. He was one of the lead climbers and along with his friend Steve McKinney one of the organizers of the expedition.
